Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Denpasar, Bali. Transfer to the hotel in Legian.

We’ll meet at 4 p.m. at our hotel in Luzern (Lucerne) for a “Welcome to Switzerland” meeting. Then we’ll take a meandering evening walk through Switzerland’s most charming lakeside town, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together. Sleep in Luzern (2 nights). No bus. Walking: light.

Day 2 - Rest

Enjoy the hotel and the nearby beach.

Beach wheelchair available.

Day 3 - Temple Visits

Visit the beautiful Taman Ayun Temple in Mengwi, an essential part of the Subak irrigation system. We will then continue to the Sangeh Nutmeg tree forest, where friendly monkeys try to sit on your lap. On the way back, we will stop at Tanah Lot—Bali’s landmark, the temple on a rock in the ocean.

Day 4 - Tirta Embul

We go north and visit Tirta Empul, a temple around sacred water fountains. We stop at the Tegalalang rice terraces. In the early evening, enjoy the performance of the Kecak Firedance on the famous Batubulan stage.

Day 5 - Eastwards Tours

We will check out of our hotel and move eastwards to Candidasa.
We will join an Indonesian cooking session in Sanur in the morning and enjoy our self-prepared lunch afterward!
We visit the Goa Lawah temple on the way, inhabited by thousands of sacred bats, and a stop at the traditional salt production on the beach in Kusamba.

Day 6 - Nature Visits

Today, we tour the Lempuyang Temple, high up in the mountains, with a spectacular view of the active volcano Agung. We make a stop at Virgin Beach on the way back.

Day 7 - Balinese Villages

We will visit a rural area and learn about village life, culture, handicrafts, dance, agriculture, and spices.

Day 8 - Besakih

This day brings us to the great ‘Mother Temple’ Besakih.

Afternoon rest at the pool and beach in the hotel.

Day 9 - Yogyakarta

We leave Candidasa, return to Denpasar, and take the plane to Yogyakarta! Our Yogya team will pick us up at the airport and bring us to the Duta Garden Hotel.

Day 10 - Malioboro and Borobudur

We will stroll over Malioboro Street and the nearby area in the morning. We will then travel to Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist temple.

Day 11 - Kota Gede and Prambanan

We will stroll over Malioboro Street and the nearby area in the morning. We will then travel to Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist temple.

Day 12 - Kraton

In the morning, we will visit the Sultan’s Palace, Kraton. After that, it’s time to leave Yogyakarta to catch our flight back to Bali.

Day 13 - We relax the day with a free program. A Beach wheelchair is available.

Day 14 - Departure

On our last day, we will depart back home.
